Starting the Corkran capers blog

It's the day before we fly out for a life-changing trip for our family. It's been a hectic 3 years since our youngest daughter was born. Annika needed open-heart surgery for an Atrio-ventricular septal defect when she was 3 weeks old. She had feeding difficulties because of congested heart failure and needed to be tube feed. Who knew that these feeding difficulties would turn into an ongoing battle, now going for over 3 years. We have had very limited and sporadic help from the health system in New Zealand and looked to the internet for an answer. There we discovered the Children University hospital in Graz, Austria and we are travelling half-way round the world to attend their tube weaning clinic which has over a 95% success rate at getting children to eat.
